The Wildcats started strong but could not overcome five turnovers and a strong Beaver Local defense on Wednesday night at Beaver Local.
The Wildcats were down 12-0 at the half before coming out strong in the second half pushing the ball down the field before a turnover on 4th down stalled the drive. Beaver methodically drove the ball down the field using much of the late 3rd and early 4th quarter clock. In an attempt to force the decisive turnover, the Wildcats gambled on an all-out blitz and were burned over the top for the game’s final points.
A final offensive drive was turned away by a Beaver Local interception with less than a minute left on the clock.
The Wildcats finish a fantastic season with a record of 6-2 and a Small School BMC Championship. This group of young men has come a long way during the season and the future of Edison Football looks strong!
