John Gregg Elementary students got a lesson that was for the birds as they learned about the incubation of chicken eggs and followed the 21-day gestational timeline of 40 hatchlings. Sixth-grade science teacher Tally Paisuk has led the program every other year and said simpler lessons are provided for first-graders. She added that the chicks will head to local farms and families with coops once they were all hatched.
