John Gregg Elementary students Tripp Porter, a second-grader, and Crue Porter, a kindergartener, donned heroic raincoats as Spiderman and a firefighter, respectively, when Edison Local Schools observed Attendance Awareness Month in September. John Gregg and Stanton Elementary and Edison Jr./Sr. High School promoted educational activities along with the Cleveland Browns Foundation to show why attending each day matters. The foundation also provided prizes as part of its Stay in the Game! Network. For its part, John Gregg kids also had a chance to don funky sunglasses, sweatpants and Edison spirit gear plus hold a poster contest to spread the message about school.
