About 125 students and their parents came out to Edison High School’s Unified Sports Complex for the Edison Local School District’s annual Oktoberfest on Oct. 23 and enjoyed snacks, games and a few family-based Halloween movies shown on the stadium videoboard.

Assistant Superintendent Julie Kireta said despite the autumn chill, participants had fun outdoors and she hoped to continue the event in the future. The district provided hotdogs, popcorn and candy while the Edison Teachers Association offered up some potato chip snacks and McConnell’s Market donated pumpkins for decorating. Kireta thanked the Stanton and John Gregg Elementary PTOs for their assistance and EHS Drama Club members who distributed candy.
