Colorful Carolers

John Gregg Elementary hosted “Be The Light,” an all-school Christmas program on Dec. 15 which drew about 700 people between the morning and afternoon shows. Principal Tammy Burchfield said the morning program was also livestreamed online for people to watch at home and classes in grades PreK-6 and individual students sang holiday carols and songs of peace while other talents included soloists and ensembles, chime and ukulele players, a Spanish rap, jokes, poetry and readings. Music teacher Kathy Ramsey planned the program since October and Burchfield said it was the first such event since COVID halted last year’s activities. Pictured are preschool carolers all aglow performing “Christmas Lights” under Ramsey’s direction.
