The Edison High School Choir will stage a virtual choir concert for the public to enjoy this week.

Gregory Hofmeister, vocal music director, said performances will be recorded on Thursday, April 7 and uploaded Friday to the Edison Local School District homepage at www.edisonwildcats.org. The event will be held in the school auditorium and include a range of musical theatre, popular tunes and music from various decades. The choir includes about 135 students in grades 7-12 and some dance numbers will also be featured.

“The concert will be done via recording to accommodate students in sports and extracurriculars,” Hofmeister added. “This is a concert to celebrate the students’ love of music. All of the music was selected or suggested by them. In the vocal music department, we want the students to use their voices and sing what interests them in addition to learning musical concepts and singing techniques.”
