Cross Country Shows Well At Meadowbrook, Lesnansky Finishes 3rd

Behind Josie Lesnansky’s impressive 3rd place finish (out of 131 runners), the Varsity Girls Cross Country teams captured an impressive 8th place overall finish.  Only one other 4A OVAC school edged out Edison by a mere 4 points and more impressively, the girls pulled ahead of Buckeye 8 champions, St. Clairsville.  

Similarly, the Varsity Boys finished 10th overall. Leading the Wildcats in the 153-runner match were Gage Cable (16th) and Brock Koehnlein (21st), both earning medals for the day. 

Combined, the Wildcats outran Carrollton, Washington, Cambridge, Malvern, Indian Creek, Martins Ferry, East Liverpool, Catholic Central, Conotton Valley, Maysville, Meadowbrook, Newcomerstown, Strasburg-Franklin, Union Local, and West Muskingum.

The Junior High runners also found hardware with Nate Kline’s 13th-place finish and Layla White’s 40th-place finish.
