35 schools were represented Friday at the Cloverleaf Stampede Invitational at Wooster High School. At mid point in the season, the goals of attending these large invitationals are for team members to 1. Drop time, 2. Win their heat and 3. Increase the competition exposure. PRs were achieved in 16 individual and 2 relay events.
The Wildcats placed in the top 20 with points scored from Gage Cable in the 500 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke. Top team awawrds were given to Louisville, Shelby, Revere, Watkins Memorial, Archbishop Hoban and Cuyahoga Valley Christian for the girls. For the boys, the top 6 places went to Archbishop Horan, Massillon, Lexington, St.Clairsville, Shelby and Cuyahoga.
The Wildcats will swim Friday night at Steubenville for Senior Night and Saturday morning at Brooke for the Buckeye 8 Championships. The Friday night meet will begin at 5:30 with recognition of Seniors from Steubenville, Edison , Indian Creek, Catholic Central and Martins Ferry at the break following the 50 Freestyle. The Buckeye 8 Championships on Saturday morning will begin at 10:00.
