The Edison Girls Basketball team got a nice win Thursday night against Heartland Christian 57-47. The Wildcats started off the game against the hot-shooting Lions down 16-2 before battling back to trail 20-15 at the end of 1. The Cats turned up the defense in the second quarter to take a 31-23 lead into the half. A back an forth second half allowed the Wildcats to come away with the win! A balanced scoring effort lead the Wildcats; Pressly Meadows with 16,Sophia Henderson with 12,Rebecca Evans with 11, Kylee Stull with 10 and Pam Johnson with 8.
The JV team also picked up a win in a 2-quarter effort 24-2. Leading the Wildcats was Ava Cline with 8, Sophia Henderson with 4, Lexie Reed with 4, Kaylee Summers with 3, Andy McConnaughy with 2, Isabella Mitchell with 2 and Kennedy Baker with 1. All 7 Players that played in the game scored.
