Swimmers Compete at District, Cable Sets Record in 100 Breaststroke

The Wildcats competed in the District Swim Meet Thursday at Ohio State University. Throughout the course of the meet, some team members finished their season with one final Personal Best time. These included the 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay teams consisting of Nolan Buchanan, Luke Linscott, Issac Pudder, and Gage Cable, as well as Michah Larkins in the 100 Breaststroke.

There were also many former records broken by swimmers in attendance at the meet.  This included Edison’s Gage Cable in the 100 Breaststroke.  The former Breaststroke record was set in 2010 by Tyler Locke with a time of 1:06.47.  Gage swam 1:06.19 and placed 13th.  With all of the Wildcats swimmers competing at the District Meet returning to the program next year, goals are already being set for the 2023-2024 season.

Congratulations and Good luck to all of those swimmers qualifying for the State Meet next week in Canton.
