The Edison High School FFA is thanking local emergency crews with its first-ever First Responders Breakfast on May 13.
The organization is serving up a complimentary meal from 8-11 a.m. at the school in Richmond and crew members and their families are invited to attend. FFA Reporter Grace Browning said it was a way for the FFA to show its appreciation to those who keep the people safe.
“It’s never been done before,” she said. “We will cook a complimentary breakfast to give a thank you to those first responders who serve our community.”
She added that newly minted FFA Vice President Adali Reynolds’ father was a first responder and the FFA wanted to come together to show support for those just like him.
“I think it will be exciting and hope that all of those responders in our community can show up so we can give back to them,” Browning said.
