Freshman Josie Lesnansky Brings Home OVAC Title at 3200m, Boys Finish 4th at OVAC

The Edison qualifiers competed at OVAC again on Saturday, bringing home some serious hardware and setting PRs in nearly every event!

The Boys finished 4th among 4A schools scoring 32 points, while the Girls finished 7th scoring 32 points as well.

Leading the way was Josie Lesnansky, your 4A champion in the 3200m. Josie also placed 2nd in the 1600m run!

Matt Evans was the silver medalist in the 110mHH, finishing in second place.

Joe Simpson was our only other individual placer at 4th in the shot put.

Ours Girls 4x800m relay was also a silver medalist with the team of Kennedy Baker, Natalie Lucas, Kendra Teichman and Josie Lesnansky finishing second. Also on the Girl’s side the 4x400m relay team finished in the third place spot. The team consisted of Hailey Teichman, Kendra Teichman, Kaylee Summers and Josie Lesnansky.

On the boy’s side, the 4×800 meter relay team finished as a bronze medalist with the team of Deacon Rawson, Max McConnell, Lane Waggoner and Gage Cable. The Boys 4x400m team of Max McConnell, Gage Cable, Matt Evans and Deacon Rawson also finished in the bronze position.

Rounding out the scoring for the boys were the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Gage Cable, Jaycee Blake, Andrew Kirkman and Matt Evans and the 4x200m relay team of Andrew Kirkman, Decker Lancaster, Jaycee Blake and Deacon Rawson, who both finished 4th.

Next up for the Wildcat Thinclads is OHSAA District competition at West Holmes!
