Cross Country Improves at Brooke, Girls Finish 3rd

On Wednesday, the Edison Cross Country teams continued their success at the Brooke Memorial Invitational.  Competing against many phenomenal teams from West Virginia and Ohio, the Varsity Girls team finished 3rd overall.
Josie Lesnansky led the way in 5th place (21:22) behind runners only from University or Oak Glenn.  Other top 20 finishers included freshmen Annie Board (17th; 23:42) and Leila Cable (19th; 23:48).  The entire team continues to drop time and run in tight packs.
The Varsity Boys finished 6th overall with a 14th place finish from Gage Cable (19:02).  Again, runners from University and Linsly dominated the top 20 places.
In Junior High action, the girls finished in 5th place overall with another powerful run to the finish from Lydia Krepps (7th; 13:14) and many other personal bests from the rest of the team.
Nate Kline (6th; 11:52) and Ronnie White (14th; 13:26) cashed in top 20 honors taking the Junior High Boys team to a 4th place overall finish.
