Boys Swimming Continues Strong Season on Senior Night

Area Senior swimmers were recognized this evening from Edison, Martins Ferry, Indian Creek, Steubenville Catholic Central and Big Red at the Annual Senior Night Swim Meet held at Steubenville Natatorium. It was greatly appreciated by the teams to see Alumni from the various programs and many spectators in attendance for the evening.  Scored this evening as 4 dual meets, the Edison Men’s Team swept the evening with the following team scores; Edison 140 – CCHS 17, Edison 135 – Big Red 32, Edison 129 – Martins Ferry 48 and Edison 113 – Indian Creek 107. With all members back in attendance and taking charge of the events, everyone contributed to the team win in some aspect. The following Men’s team members placed across 8 lanes and against all teams in attendance; 200 Medley Relay (1st Buchanan, Larkins, Cable, Linscott), 200 Freestyle (2nd Larkins, 7th Chipps), 200 IM (1st Buchanan),50 Freestyle (2nd Pudder), 100 Freestyle (1st Linscott, 2nd Pudder), 500 Freestyle (1st Cable, 5th McConnell), 200 Freestyle Relay (3rd McConnell, Bernhart, Chipps, Pudder), 100 Backstroke (1st Buchanan, 5th Bernhart), 100 Breaststroke (1st Cable, 2nd Larkins, 3rd McConnell, 4th Linscott), 400 Freestyle Relay (1st Buchanan, Pudder, Linscott, Cable)

The Women’s Team scores for the 4 duals included; Indian Creek 178 – Edison 76, Martins Ferry 100 – Edison 98, Steubenville 169 – Edison 79 and Edison 124 – CCHS 37. Events for the Women that placed and scored included; 200 Freestyle (7th Cable), 200 IM (5th Larkins, 6th Lucas), 100 Butterfly (3rd Speedy), 100 Freestyle (3rd Lucas), 500 Freestyle (3rd Speedy), 100 Backstroke (5th Frampton, 7th Larkins) and 100 Breastroke (4th Cable). 

The Wildcats will swim next at John Marshall on Tuesday the 9th. 

State Test Scores Now Available in Progressbook

As part of our ongoing effort to keep you informed about your child’s academic progress, we want to inform you that you now have access to their state test score results through ProgressBook, our online student management system. The district believes that by having access to this information, you can better support your child’s academic journey and work collaboratively with us to ensure their success. If you have any questions or need further assistance with ProgressBook or understanding the state test scores, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your building.

Visit ProgressBook Parent Portal and navigate to “Assessment Scores” on the left hand menu to view your child’s scores.
