Wildcats Swim at Rig Red Invite

The Wildcat Swim Team competed in the Big Red Invitational Saturday morning at the Steubenville Natatorium.  Short 7 team members for some or all of the meet, 6 to attend additional school functions, the Wildcats continued to set new PR’s, score and medal to reach the podium. 

Medalist to reach the podium in two events was Gage Cable, 2nd in the 200 Freestyle and 3rd in the Breaststroke.

Placing and scoring for the Men’s meet included: 200 Medley Relay (6th Buchanan, Larkins, Cable, Linscott), 200 Freestyle (Medalist 2nd Cable), 200 Freestyle Relay (7th McConnell, Pudder, Linscott, Cable), 100 Backstroke (7th Buchanan), 100 Breaststroke (Medalist 3rd Cable), 400 Freestlye Relay (7th Buchanan, McConnell, Pudder, Linscott). 

Placing and scoring for the Women’s meet included: 100 Butterfly (7th Speedy)

Congratulations to the swimmers that swam 1 or 2 events if that, dropped time and headed to Canton McKinley for Solo and Ensemble Contest… Cooper Chipps (I, Tuba Solo), Bella Evans (3 swim PR’s, I Percussion Solo), Micah Larkins and Leila Cable (II Brass Quartet) and Wyatt Bernhart (Trombone Day, OU).  A special congratulations to Sydney Frampton who dropped 13 seconds in the 200 Freestyle, winning her heat and hitting another PR in the 100 Freestyle before receiving a I in her Violin Solo, I in Vocal Solo and II in Saxaphone Solo. 

Congratulations to Linsly and St.Clairsville for taking the top 2 places in the Men’s Meet and Linsly and St.Clairsville tied for 1st place in the Women’s meet.

The Wildcats will travel to Linsly on Tuesday to compete.
