Stanton Art Show Tomorrow

Art, music, and more will be spotlighted during the annual Stanton Elementary School Related Arts Show on
Tuesday, March 5. Students and parents can attend from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and enjoy original artwork, music, dancing, and other activities. The free event is being organized by the school’s related arts teachers and will incorporate games and crafts for all ages to enjoy. Art teacher Ginger Bloomer said this year’s theme is “It’s A Small World” and the event will feature displays from around the globe.

“It’s a related arts show because we include music, computers, physical education, and art,” said Bloomer. “In the art class, we learned about different countries and created artwork to represent them. Students in preschool to sixth grade will have art projects on display.” The music department will feature singers and dancers, plus the computer class will provide access to games built from scratch and a QR code is scanned to play games. Additionally, there will be “Make It, Take It” craft activities for attendants to create and take home and food trucks onsite to purchase treats.
Bloomer said the shows have been well attended and she was hoping to see another successful turnout.
“Last year we had a huge turnout. I’m hoping for the same or better this year,” she continued.
