JH Track Wraps Up Season at OVAC

With the challenging competition of 37 schools and 764 junior high athletes in the largest organized high school athletic conference in the United States, the Edison Wildcats Boys and Girls Track & Field Team persevered to medal in four events in the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Junior High Championships hosted by St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools.
Scoring Events
Boys 4×8- 6th Place
Girls 4×4 – 4th Place
High Jump – 5th Place
800 Meter Run – 8th Place
Edison Wildcats Girls Team Score:  8 points, 18th place out of 37
Edison Wildcats Boys Team Score:  4 points, 23rd place out of 37
Girls Individual Accomplishments
Victoria Barcroft – 4th in 4×4
Riley Conkle – 4th in 4×4
Aliya Glover – 4th in 4×4, 5th in High Jump
Emily Kireta – 4th in 4×4
Boys Individual Accomplishments
Marcus Greene – 6th in 4×8
Nate Kline – 6th in 4×8, 8th in 800
Irvin Roman – 6th in 4×8
Logan Roman Juarez – 6th in 4×8
Special thanks to all the student-athlete family help and support throughout the day of the OVAC JH Championships!  The Wildcats complete their season next Monday, May 6, away at a BMC Meet hosted by Beaver Local.
