Aaron Richardson
Board President
Aaron Richardson has been a member of the Edison Local School Board since January 2018. He is a 2007 graduate of Edison High School and went on to complete undergraduate studies and law school at the University of Akron. He now works as an attorney in Steubenville, Ohio. He lives with his wife, Kim, and daughters, Sadie and Elsie. In addition to serving on the school board, Aaron is a board member for the Festival in the Woods in Richmond, a member of the Richmond Lions Club, a member of the board of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, and is the volunteer attorney advisor for the Edison Mock Trial Team.
Ron Smyth
Vice President
Ron Smyth of East Springfield, Ohio has been serving on the Edison Local School Board since January of 2018. A graduate of Springfield High School, Ron has a BS in Education from Kent State University. Over his career he has served as a bus driver, teacher, coach, and athletic director for Edison Local Schools. He had the unique opportunity to coach at each of the district’s three original high schools. Ron currently serves as a member of the OVAC basketball committee. Ron and his wife Nancy have two children: Kim and Mark. He has also been a Freemason for over 25 years and member of the Loyal Order of Moose for 32 years. Now that Ron has retired, he enjoys watching sports.
Anna Ault
Anna Ault of East Springfield has served on the Edison Local School Board since January 2022. An Edison High School graduate, she earned her undergraduate nursing degree (BSN) from Kent State University, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in nursing education from Regis College. She is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Franciscan University and a certified Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Instructor. On the board, she helped launch Edison’s Student Board Representatives program, giving students a voice in district decisions.
Anna lives in East Springfield with her husband, Tom, and their three children: Olivia, Amelia (Mimi), and Billy. She is active in the community as a 4-H advisor and a member of the Richmond Lions Club, the Jefferson County Women’s Club, and the Pediatric CVI Society, and she has been active with the John Gregg PTO. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering as an assistant coach for the Edison girls’ basketball team.
Anna looks forward to continuing her service on the school board and supporting students, families, and staff across the Edison Local School District.
Matt Bordash
Matt Bordash of Richmond, Ohio has been serving on the Edison Local School Board since January of 2020. A graduate of Edison High School, Matt attended Otterbein College where he earned a BA in Economics and Business Administration. Matt is currently the President and CEO of Cryogenic Construction, Inc, an industrial fabrication company located in Mingo Junction, OH. He is married to Amy Bordash, and enjoys sports, camping, and other outdoor activities.
Josh McConnell
Josh McConnell of Richmond, Ohio started serving on the Edison Local School Board in January 2020. A former graduate of Edison High School, he is also a 4-H Club Advisor, Richmond Lions Club member, and a Richmond Festival in the Woods committee member. Josh is the General Manager and CEO at Jefferson Landmark Inc. in Bloomingdale, Ohio and spends time working with his Dad on their family farm in Richmond. Josh and his wife Natasha have two sons, Declan and Callen, as well as a Daughter, Isla. His favorite pastimes include: camping, farming, fishing, and volunteering.
