Edison Local Board of Education


Aaron Richardson of Richmond, Ohio was elected to the Edison Local School Board in 2017. A former student of Edison High School, he has a BS in Political Science from the University of Akron and a JD from the University of Akron School of Law. Aaron is currently a partner at Blake, Bednar Blake, and Richardson in Steubenville. He is married to Kimberlie Richardson and enjoys fishing, golf, and working on classic cars.


Ron Smyth of East Springfield, Ohio has been serving on the Edison Local School Board since January of 2018. A graduate of Springfield High School, Ron has a BS in Education from Kent State University.  Over his career he has served as a bus driver, teacher, coach, and athletic director for Edison Local Schools. He had the unique opportunity to coach at each of the district’s three original high schools. Ron currently serves as a member of the OVAC basketball committee. Ron and his wife Nancy have two children: Kim and Mark. He has also been a Freemason for over 25 years and member of the Loyal Order of Moose for 32 years. Now that Ron has retired, he enjoys watching sports.

Anna Ault of East Springfield, Ohio was sworn into office in January 2022. A graduate of Edison High School, Anna earned a BSN from Kent State University and continued her graduate studies at Franciscan University, where she earned a Master of Science Degree in Nursing. She is currently an Instructor at Trinity School of Nursing. She is also a Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Instructor Mentor for Trinity Health System.

Anna and her husband Tom have 3 children: Olivia, Amelia and Billy.
Anna is active in the community as a 4H advisor and is a member of various organizations: Jefferson County 4H Committee, Richmond Lions Club, Jefferson County Womens Club, and the Pediatric CVI Society.

Anna has also been an active member of the John Gregg PTO and has participated on the Edison Parent Partnership Team.  Anna is a member of Starkdale Presbyterian Church.

In her spare time, Anna enjoys many outdoor activities like camping, skiing, biking, boating, and horseback riding. She also enjoys volunteering to coach girls basketball. Anna is looking forward to having the opportunity to serve on the school board.


Matt Bordash of Richmond, Ohio has been serving on the Edison Local School Board since January of 2020.  A graduate of Edison High School, Matt attended Otterbein College where he earned a BA in Economics and Business Administration.  Matt is currently the President and CEO of Cryogenic Construction, Inc, an industrial fabrication company located in Mingo Junction, OH.  He is married to Amy Bordash, and enjoys sports, camping, and other outdoor activities. 

 


Josh McConnell of Richmond, Ohio started serving on the Edison Local School Board in January 2020.  A former graduate of Edison High School, he is also a 4-H Club Advisor, Richmond Lions Club member, and a Richmond Festival in the Woods committee member.  Josh is the Petroleum Manager at Jefferson Landmark Inc. in Bloomingdale, Ohio and spends time working with his Dad on their family farm in Richmond. Josh and his wife Natasha have two young sons, Declan and Callen.  His favorite pastimes include: camping, farming, fishing, and volunteering.
