Edison Local Continuity of Service Plan 

ARP ESSER Approved Spending

Title I funds were used to pay the salaries and fringe benefits of five Title I teachers in the Elementary Buildings and Jr. High Building. Any parent may request the professional qualifications of their student’s classroom teacher or paraprofessionals.

Title II-A Funds were used to pay for the salary of one class – size reduction teacher.

Title IV Student Support and Academic Enrichment Funds were used to partially pay the salary and fringe benefits of one School Counselor and supplies.

IDEA-B Special Education Funds were used to pay the salaries and fringe benefits for four Special Education Teachers.

Early Literacy IDEA Funds paid 30% of the salary and fringe benefits of our District Literacy Coach.

Early Childhood Special Education Funds were used to pay the prorated portion of one paraprofessional. In addition, these funds purchased supplies for the preschool classrooms to support students with special needs. Transportation costs were also paid with these funds.

School Quality Improvement Funds paid for the professional develop for administration and high school teachers to develop systems to support the Ohio Improvement Process.

IDEA Preschool Funds were used to pay a portion of one paraprofessional.

Edison Local strongly encourages parental participation and input regarding the distribution of State and Federal Grant monies, including Title funds awarded to our district. These revenues are used to enhance the education of our students. Any parent interested in serving on a committee should contact your child’s principal or the Federal Program Coordinator.

Edison Local Title Information

Under the new reauthorization of Title I (Federal Programs), and the Ohio Department of Education, any school district receiving Title I funds is required to inform parents that they may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their youngsters’ classroom teacher(s), including:

If the teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade level and subject areas taught; If the teacher is teaching under emergency or provisional status;Baccalaureate Degree major, graduation c ertification, and field of discipline; Whether the student is provided services by a paraprofessional and, if so, their qualifications.

Edison Local’s Title I allocation for the 2019-2020 school year is $518,115.49. Title I Funds are used to support district students in the classroom through small group instruction and additional classroom supports.

Edison Local is committed to ensuring that all of our teachers are, and will remain, highly qualified. Continuing support will be given to administers, teachers, and support staff through professional development activities specific to individual school’s needs.
