A Message From Mrs. Chipps
Dear Edison Local School District families,
It’s a new beginning, a fresh, bright year. We’re more excited than ever to welcome your children back! We’ve been refining and improving their favorite foods they’ve come to love, and also creating delicious, exciting new chef-inspired meals that we can’t wait to share with everyone.
We are excited to announce School Breakfast is free to all students for the entire school year.
This is regardless of student or family eligibility for the free and reduced lunch program. You will not need to enroll your student in order to participate in free school breakfast.
We know you have tough decisions to make every day, let us help by providing school lunch for your children. There are multiple advantages:
SAVE MONEY Groceries at home can add up, our buying power means we get quality food at cost effective pricing.
SAVE TIME No more morning rush to pack lunch!
VARIETY No more guessing what your child will be hungry for at lunch. Kids can choose from multiple options on the serving line every day.
BALANCED NUTRITION School meals are nutritious and are based on USDA guidelines.
Want to simplify the school year even more? Paying ahead can be an easy, low stress way to ensure ready access for your children to always have a healthy meal at school. If you qualify for low- or no-cost school lunches, then this can be an important way to meet your weekly household food budget. The cost of a student Lunch will be $2.85 at John Gregg and Stanton Elementary and $3.10 at the High School. Staff lunches are $5.05 and staff breakfast is $2.85.
Free and Reduced Meal applications will be distributed on the first day of school and will be available in the office throughout the school year. Please return completed forms as soon as possible.
To check on the status of your student’s account balance, families can call 330-223-2901, option 6, then option 1 and enter their student ID number. or visit their payschools central account online.
