Principal - Tammy Burchfield
Tammy Burchfield, Principal of John Gregg Elementary, has been with Edison Local Schools for thirty years. She has a B.A. in Secondary Education and a M.S. in Educational Administration. Her primary responsibilities include developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member. Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!
Our staff is ready, energized, and excited to welcome our students back for another incredible year! We have truly missed them and look forward to the energy, enthusiasm, and joy they bring to our school each day.
In addition to our academic goals, one of our building-wide priorities this year is helping students understand what it means to be part of a community. A strong school community creates a sense of belonging, provides support, and gives us a shared purpose. We want every student to feel valued, connected, and encouraged to be their very best.
Our goal is for students to want to learn, grow, and achieve while developing the skills and character needed to contribute positively to their school and community. Throughout the year, we will continue to recognize and celebrate excellence, growth, and achievement.
