A Message from Mrs. Burchfield
This school year is officially halfway over, yet there is so much more to do!
First, I would like to thank everyone who joined us and participated in the many Christmas events we had planned. We collected $117 for the Friendship Room, $200 for the PCVI Society, $200 for Just Be Clause along with many gifts that were collected and
donated. We are so grateful for having such a caring and giving community.
As we enter the third nine weeks, we have become very serious academically and there are things that you can do at home to help your child.
–Read to your child every night. It is so important that they know reading is important
and it can be so much fun.
–Ask them specific questions about what they learned in each class. There is an objective every day.
–Make sure they receive plenty of rest, at least seven to nine hours a night. As always, if
things are too hectic in the morning for breakfast, we’ve got you covered. Every student
can receive a free breakfast at school.
Lastly, mark your calendars for March 4 – 8. We have more parent luncheons, student showcases, a book fair, a Family Math Night and our annual art show. We hope to see you all there.
That’s all I have for now. Thanks for reading and let’s have a great third nine weeks!
