Edison Local Title I Information

Under the new reauthorization of Title I (Federal Programs), and the Ohio Department of Education, any school district receiving Title I funds is required to inform parents that they may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child’s classroom teacher(s), including:

If the teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade level and subject areas taught; If the teacher is teaching under emergency or provisional status; Baccalaureate Degree major, graduation certification, and field of discipline; Whether the student is provided services by a paraprofessional and, if so, their qualifications.

Edison Local’s Title I allocation for the 2022-2023 school year is $465,411.29. Title I Funds are used to support district students in the classroom through small group instruction and additional classroom supports.

Edison Local is committed to ensuring that all of our teachers are, and will remain, highly qualified. Continuing support will be given to administrators, teachers, and support staff through professional development activities specific to individual school’s needs.

If you have any questions regarding the qualifications of your child’s teacher and/or paraprofessional, please contact Mr. Bill Beattie, Superintendent at (740) 282-0065 ext. 1100 or (330)532-3199 ext. 1100.
