Edison FFA places at contests

The Edison High School FFA organization has been excelling at recent competitions with their agricultural knowledge. Advisor Chuck Cline said Brennan Scott, Hayden Johnson, Delaney Johnson and Raven Shannon attended the state soils contest on Oct. 20 at Dawes Arboretum in Newark, where they earned 18th place out of 42 teams. EHS staging “The Wedding Singer”

A hit rom-com movie is headed to the local stage as the Edison High School Vocal Music Department performs “The Wedding Singer” in November. The production is set for Nov. 16-17 at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. Tickets cost $6 for students and $8 for adults and will be sold at the door on the night of the shows.

Matics named EHS October Teacher of the Month

Jeremy Matics has been named Edison High School’s Teacher of the Month for October. Matics has served the school district for the past three years, beginning as a substitute teacher during the 2013-14 term.
