Lady Wildcats Knock Off Undeafeated Purple Riders
The Edison Wildcats defeated previously undefeated Martins Ferry 2-1. The win improves the Cats’ record to 9-12 on the year. They return to action Saturday on the road traveling to Harrison Central for a 1:00 start time.

Edison Boys finish 2nd, Girls 4th in Inaugral Todd Smith Memorial JH Buckeye 8 Championships
All of the hard work and challenging practices are paying off for the junior high track team. The boys’ team finished in 2nd place and the girls in 4th at the Buckeye 8/Todd Smith Memorial Championship last night. Lady Wildcats Win Over Cardinal Mooney
Edison rebounded from a tough stretch of games last week to defeat visiting Youngstown Cardinal Mooney 9-1. The Wildcats used a big fourth inning to score 6 runs to secure a lead and the pitching and defense played strong to complete the victory. The varsity returns to action today at home against undefeated Martins Ferry at 5:00.

Lady Cats top Buckeye Local 9-0
The Wildcats scored 8 runs in the first three innings to defeat Buckeye Local in varsity softball with a final score of 9-0. Katie Fluharty pitched a no-hitter in the contest while having 12 strikeouts. The Reserve softball team followed up the varsity in the late game to win 12-2 in 5 innings.

JH Wildcat Thinclads Dominate Indian Creek
Edison faced Indian Creek last night in the junior high track meet. The Wildcats dominated both the boys and girls events bringing home 1st place. Many athletes set personal records and will be receiving ribbons for first through third places. For individual race results, see the attached scoring sheet.
