Edison Local Board of Education looking to future facilities projects

The Edison Local Board of Education is looking to expand amenities at the Edison High School campus, and on Thursday they secured a contract with a firm to review options.     During the Feb. 21 session, officials approved a contract with MS Consultants of Youngstown to create a program design for future facilities at the high school. Stanton Students Sing at Nailers Game

A select group of Stanton singers performed on ice during the Wheeling Nailers game Feb. 16. Thirty-six students in grades 4-6 sang the National Anthem and “O Canada” as the Nailers took on the Brampton Beast.

Showing His Strength

Edison High School senior Keithan Woods shows his strength as he demonstrates pull-ups at the U.S. Marine recruiting station at the school recently. Woods plans to enter the Marines upon graduation this May and will be stationed at Parris Island, S.C.

Donation Bolsters EHS Weight Room

 A generous contribution from a local native has outfitted the Edison High School weight room with new equipment to help athletes and students get conditioned.    EHS alumnus and entrepreneur Cory Gregory recently donated strengthening gear to augment the facility’s amenities. Weight room instructor Shane O’Brien said about $5,000 in gear has been contributed over the past school year with
