Healthy Home Habits

School is stressful for many students. Learning at home can exacerbate this stress. Our brain has a predictable biological reaction to stress. Learn how to help your children interrupt the cycle that leads to panic or anxiety, take control of this reaction and ready their brain for learning.

Village Network
School-based mental health services aim to improve a student’s functioning not only in school, but also in the community and at home. Our goal is to work in partnership with each school and student to improve the child’s overall mental health and behavioral functioning as evidenced by an increase in the academic achievement of the student, a decrease in truancy and tardiness, and a reduction in school suspension, risky behaviors and class disruptions.
TVN offers Individual and Group therapy and Case Management
Individual Therapy is a critical service offered at most school programs, and in some cases may be the only service offered.
Therapy groups vary in length of time based on the needs and developmental abilities of the children served. Groups are facilitated by licensed mental health professionals. Group Therapy may be provided in conjunction with Day Treatment services particularly for specific short-term interventions, such as a grief group, or utilized with youth stepping down from day treatment who need a lower level of service as they transition towards completion of the support program.
Case Management Services is utilized in efforts to engage families in treatment and assist youth in developing skills to be successful within a classroom setting.
