Christina Henderson
Special Education Director
Christina Henderson has been in Special Education for twenty nine years.Christina is an alumni of the Edison School District graduating from Edison North in 1991. Christina graduated from Franciscan University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters in Educational Administration.Christina received her Transition to Work Endorsement from Kent State University. Christina Received Autism training from the Rich Center at Youngstown State University. Christina is passionate about helping students and families find the path to success as a student and as an adult when they transition into the outside world. Special Education
Edison Local School District provides services to students ages 3 through 22 identified as disabled under Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA). Special education services are provided in accordance with Ohio’s Model Policies and Procedures for the Education of Children with Disabilities.
Approximately 13.17% of the Edison Local student population has been identified with a disability. The special education students’ needs are typically served in the regular education classroom with additional support provided by an intervention specialist. Special education services are provided according to each child’s individual needs and in the least restrictive environment.

The Edison Local School District is committed to the identification, location, and evaluation, as required by IDEA and federal regulations, for all children between the ages of 3 and 22.
